Nothing but troubleDec 01, 2009
By Mieandercat I purchased one of these spotlights, and after a month, it refused to charge. I returned it, thinking maybe I'd messed up on the complicated charging instructions: do not use while charging. Do not let battery run down completely. Do not charge more than 8-12 hours. I was very careful following the charging instructions the second time...and now I have the same problem after a few months. I am not able to return it since the thirty-day warranty is up.
I did not subject the light to any harsh conditions-which you would expect an outdoor spotlight should be able to tolerate anyway.
I STRONGLY suggest getting a different light.

Battery does not last!!! Terriable.Mar 05, 2010
By Umdaman When the battery worked, it was good. Very bright. But you only get about 20min of usage per charge. I bought this last year in July. I used it 2 times. Last week I went to charge it, NOTHING. Battery will not take a charge. I removed the battery and tried it on an external battery charger. Nothing, charger goes red stating that the battery is bad. I did a voltage test on the battery, and it was only showing 10 volts.
I just sent an email to the companies support. Not sure how long the warranty is on this product. I'm hoping it's 1 year. If not I guess I'll have to find a replacement battery on my own, and probably will be a better quality. From what others have said, the battery with this unit is complete junk, probably made in China.
I also noticed the 2.2ohm resistor in the circuit has signs of overheating. I thought that was the problem, but the resistor still tested ok. But my guess is it's too small of a wattage, so I may end up changing that too to a larger watt resistor.
I would like to add, I got a response last month (March), and they sent me a new battery NO CHARGE. So I am pleased with that. I do hope that this battery will last longer. The only thing I can think of is the light has been sitting on a shelf too long and the battery just expired. Probably not a huge selling item. I mentioned about the burnt resistor, but nothing was said about that. So I have upped my Raiting to 3 Stars for good customer service.

By N. Wagoner This light really puts out a strong beam. We use it in the country because it has such a long range.
Works great for meDec 08, 2010
By Kevin Linares Keeps a charge, very bright, not heavy, and great light bulb. I bought it since I live on a hill and below my house there is about 4 acres of trees and bushes where people come to get drunk and smoke out. Used it tonight and it shines very bright and some of the winos thought I was a police officer and took off running. It really does work for me for what I need it but I would not depend on it if the electricity went out for more than a few hours.
