5Two (air chambers) are better than one!Oct 06, 2003
By P. Kingsriter "R.N. Guy"
I can hardly believe it's taken so long for someone to produce a two-chambered air mattress! (I must admit, the bright idea hadn't come to me either.)

I was thrilled to find one at my local retailer. Here's why: I am 6+ feet tall, closing in on 290 lbs, and have an internal heater that just doesn't quit. My wife is 5'4", weighs less than half of me, and tends to pile on the blankets. On conventional air mattresses, when I climb aboard, my wife is usually launched into orbit off the other side. The single air-chamber models mean we share body heat, which doesn't work particularly well temperature wise for either of us. Both of these issues are solved with two air chambers - I roast only myself, and my involuntary mid-night movements don't rattle the little lady. I should also mention that the dual-chamber design reduces the amount of movement one feels from the other side of the mattress significantly.

As far as construction quality, the mattress didn't seem to lose any air over a seven-night stay - yes, our guests got the "real" mattress. (Thanks hon.) This might just be the best portable imitation of a Select-Comfort mattress. It certainly seems to be the next best thing, and is the most comfortable portable/camping air-mattress I've ever slept on... by a wide margin!

5Both comfortable and strongApr 21, 2006

Dual chambers greatly reduce the movement you feel from the person next to you. Not only that, with traditional air mattresses if two people sleep together the middle tends to sink and you both end up rolling into the center. This mattress doesn't do that because of the two chambers.

We have used it camping 10-20 times and a once or twice indoors for guests. In fact one night I was tossing & turning and my husband couldn't sleep. I woke up the next morning to find him sleeping like a baby on the air mattress!

Through all our camping trips it stayed fully inflated until morning and it got treated rough at times. Eventually it got a hole...BUT... that was because I tried to scare my cat by jumping on one end while he was asleep on the other. Whew, did it ever work! I hopped on and the cat went flying... unfortunately his claws dug DEEP into the mattress during the process! (it was worth it though!) Poor guy.

So...the hole was entirely my fault and I am off to buy another before the camping season starts! No complaints here.

4Very comfortableAug 16, 2006

We bought this airbed to take camping with us. The kids had outgrown the sleeping on the ground and they took our original twin/king air bed. I have to say, this is a very comfortable mattress. My husband and I are not small people and this bed stayed totally inflated for 3 days and kept us comfortable and sleeping like babies. Very durable. On ly thing i can say against this mattress is that it is a Queen and we are very used to our king size bed.

5Coleman Comfort Control QuickbedMar 15, 2007
By Ronald L. Kaan
We have purchased many camping beds over the years , but I can truthfully say - this is the best one that we have ever had! We used it for 12 nights in a row and never had to add any air at all. This is unheard of for an air mattress as many campers know! There are two individual compartments of air which was a big plus as one of Us weighs more than the other. We never 'hit ground' once. (even at 235lbs). Another plus, it is made of a sturdy material with flock on the top side. Mind you - stick with Amazon............we ordered it from Coleman Direct origianlly for an Overseas visit and it took 1 month to get here!!!! (and many phone calls) Amazon was 3 days.

1Comfrot Control is lacking in comfortAug 12, 2004

Bought this product for my sister and my brother in law, was optimistic abt the fact that it had two independent chambers so that my 250lber brother in law and my 100lber sister could have a restful sleep over the holiday seasons. The independent chambers are hard to operate with less than intuitive instructions. The chambers were not truly independet because the second chamber shared with the first chamber a portion of the side/head/leg rest.....Moreover, the darn thing leaked in the morning, so my poor sister was virtually sleeping on the hardwood floor by the morning. This is definetely the last Coleman air bed purchase for us.
