It's nearly impossible to get onto the butt of my rifle, as the elastic is very tight. I guess that's the point. Once I got it on there, it was wrinkly and rumply, and I didn't end up liking it one bit. I took it right off. What it does seem to work well for, however, is as a sort of forearm sleeve, as a handy place to keep spare rounds.
