Very AccurateNov 22, 2010
By S. Crawford I've tried RCBS, Forster, and Hornady case trimmers and the Hornady wins hands down. First of all, I expect a trimmer to work consistently within +/- .001". The RCBS works well and is accurate, but it is slow to load and cumbersome to get set. The Forster trimmer can't approach the level of accuracy I expect because of the way that it's shell holder functions...plus I could never get it to hold .45 ACPs even with with the base they suggested.
The Hornady really shines in the way that it loads quickly and securely. Plus, it is easy to adjust without any tools. The micro adjustment function takes a time to learn how to use, but now I can get a it set within a minute and turn out over 80% of my cases at EXACTLY the case length I want with the remaining 20% being only plus or minus a thousandth of an inch off. It also handles .45 ACP just as well as any rifle case. The only tip I can give you is to trim after your initial resizing when the case lube is still in the neck, it will make it easier to trim since it lubricates the collet.

Hornady case trimerAug 06, 2011

Fine item at a great price. Take care to oil it up well when you get it as it rust quickly from handeling. Note that it requires Hornady shell holders as neither RCBS nor Lyman will work.Hornady 50140 Camlock Case Trimmer

OutstandingJun 14, 2010
By W. Henderson Just as I had hoped it would be, very sturdy, very smooth operation and very easy to setup. I used carriage bolts to secure it to my bench with wing nuts underneath to make it quick to take off. When it is not in use I don't lose valuable work bench space. Also get the drill adapter for it, you won't be sorry you did.

By Ben Product is good, However it would have been nice to have in the description that it does not come with any shell holders.
