The only other review currently on this part might scare people off. I have been using Igloo coolers for over 20 years, precisely because they have replaceable parts (hinges, latches and drains). I have replaced the drains on three different coolers, and have never had a problem. Whatever the issue was for the gentleman who replaced his (and reported it as subsequently leaking), it isn't typical!

It works, but it is not what I ordered, and not what is shown in the picture. It is a different style drain plug with a pushbutton release instead of a simple drain plug cover. It takes a lot longer to draing my cooler and I have to manually press and hold the button to drain the cooler. The old drain and the pictured plug would only require that the cover be popped open and it would drain much quicker and without any sustained effort.
On the other hand, it is the same as the drain on a cooler that I have had for probably 20 years and the one being replaced is far newer than that, so chances are the substituted drain plug may last a lot longer; I am just disappointed that it was not what I ordered and now what was shown in the pictures.

My cooler is 14 years old. The old plug had started to crack. The replacement plug fit perfectly.
