4Very good but not perfectAug 19, 2010

The Crimson Trace Grips took a little playing with to mount as the dust guards slide pretty easily and it caused some frustration. I still would have given this product 5 stars even with this flaw but these grips (at least the ones I have) leave a litte gap in the rear of the grip that Im not crazy about. I dont think this gap will harm the function of the pistol unless your in deep mud, fine sand or something similar but it does detract from the overall package id rather pay a little more and have perfection.

Would I buy it again, yes as it works as advertised.... just understand you may end up with a little gap and I do mean little but still its there.

I just installed my Crimson Trace Grip for the Sig Sauer P220 and installation went pretty smooth. I decided not to install the dust guards because it was a pain trying to get them in. But installation was a breeze. My model was made in April-2011, and it now has an on off switch on the bottom of the grip and it has two turn on buttons on the front of the grip for easy on off. I am very pleased with the quality of the grip and laser. Battery life says 2 hours of being on, we will see how that holds up at the range!

The grips are pretty easy to install. The dust guards could be better, in fact for the price they suck but they work. The directions are pretty easy. I just had to figure out how the batteries install. Once I did that it was easy as pie. The laser is pretty strong and goes a long way. You can see it from 70 feet with no problems. I can't wait to go to the range and try them. I don't really like the grips. I'm used to the Hogue Monogrip Wraparound with Finger Grooves that I have been shooting for the last 12yrs. So these will take a few times to get used too. I might put the Pachmayr Tactical Grip Glove that slip on and modify them to work with the laser grips so I can try to get back to what I'm used to. Crimson Trace builds a nice product. They will work as long as the batteries hold up. They say 2hrs constant, we will see. I've used the Lasermax for my Sig P220 I did not like the pulse laser and after shooting the laser get's gunked up and needs cleaned. That's why I switched to the Crimson Trace. I have not tested the laser to see how it will hold up to a stress test. I probably won't either. All this product has to do is come on at night and protect my family when it's dark. I think this will do the trick.

Good Luck.
