Best multitool I've ever owned.Feb 22, 2009
By G Romulus I received this tool as a Christmas present, the one I'd been using was several years old and it had broken in a few places (it was a Gerber). So far this Leatherman is great, the tools come out with relative ease and it seems to be solidly built. One of my favorite things about this tool is the warranty, 25 years! You can't beat a 25 year warranty, especially on an item like this. I use the straight and serrated blades frequently for utility purposes such as cutting open boxes, cutting rope and twine and peeling oranges. I've also used the scissors and the flat head screw drivers, they work very well for this type of tool. This particular model has several tools that most of their other models don't offer and it's reasonably priced too. I should mention that it is rather bulky and definitely has some weight to it. Overall, I'd highly recommend this to anyone looking for a multitool.
Excellent MultitoolSep 19, 2011
By Jonathan S It's my second XE6 I own now. The first Multi-tool I succeeded to lost so the longing for a new one has been great! Finally bought one because of the good price (little lower than $60). It's kind of heavy but has all the tools you need when you're looking for a mini toolbox. The design is great and the when you use the plier is very comfortable in your hand to use i.e the design is not only good looking but also useful when you are cutting or bending objects.
The multi-tool is robust and made in hard stainless steel, so you clean it without problem.
If you are looking for a Multi-tool with lot of function but still not that big, I recommend this strongly!
A tip: I also bought Leatherman 931012 Removable Bit Driver, which gives you practically unlimited bits to add to this multi-tool. Works very well!
Great tool for it's intended purposeMay 22, 2011
By bennwj I own several multiple tools from most of the more popular manufacturers. When I am in the outdoors or at work (U.S. Army) I carry a SwissTool. It is quite possible the toughest, best made multi-tool on the market, but it is a bit large for everyday carry.
Enter the juice series from Leatherman.
I own the smaller Juice S2 when I need to have a smaller tool with fewer options. It is not bulky and fits well in your pocket. I also own the Juice XE6 when I am wearing jeans or think I may need a tool with more options on it.
The XE6 is about twice as thick as the S2, but it still fits comfortably in my pocket. The straight and serrated blades are sharp and work well.
The scissors are extremely handy, as are the screw drivers, saw and file.
Overall this is a great tool to buy, but you should be able to find one for less than $60 if you shop around.
Same features as a Surge in a pocketNov 27, 2009
By Julian A. Taitano All the features of a full sized multi tool in a more compact lighter package wrapped in rich purple. If you don't mind the tools not locking back it is a good choice for an everyday carry.

PRICE DISCREPANCYJan 20, 2008
By Frank B. Day THIS WAS MY SECOND LEATHERMAN XE6 FROM THE SAME DISTRIBUTOR IN THREE WEEKS. BOTH ARRIVED QUICKLY, AND ARE THE OUTSTANDING PRODUCT THAT I EXPECTED THEM TO BE. BUT THE SECOND ONE COST $25 MORE THAN THE FIRST ONE! EVEN THE HIGHER PRICE WAS SOMEWHAT LESS THAN THE SUGGESTED RETAIL PRICE, AND WAS CERTAINLY WORTH IT, BUT WHY THE DIFFERENCE IN PRICE?
