This was a replacement cooler for the igloo that was standard equipment on my Chaparral boat. The good news is that the dimensions have not changed in the past 5 years and it was the perfect size to fit into the custom compartment on my boat. The bad news is that I had to replace it because the plastic liner of the old cooler started to split in several locations around the top inside rim. In addition, the previous owner of the boat never removed the temporary stickers on the side or the bottom of the cooler and,over time, the thin plastic sticker became brittle and left tiny flecks of sticky plastic all around the inside of my boat. So, word to the wise, take these temporary stickers off ASAP or you'll be sorry.

This is the second 25 qt. Igloo Marine Cooler I've purchased this month - it fits well behind the seat of the Hobie Mirage Outback Kayak (you have to put a large watertight Plano box in the well to serve as a base for the Igloo). Add a Fentress set of rod holders, and you are outfitted for fish...

This cooler is the perfect fit and size for our boat! The compact size was the main reason for buying this cooler. The lid is easy to open and close and it doubles as an extra seat. It keeps everything nice and cold all day on the boat.

Prefer to have drain plugOct 06, 2009

I just replaced a 12 year Igloo marine 25 qt cooler with the newer version for better ice retention. The old one had a drain plug and it was a lot handier than without. It was no problem though as I ordered an Igloo drain plug to install in the new cooler. Ice does last longer in the new one and now with the drain plug installed I no longer have to unhook the cooler from it's mounting to drain it.

I like the hinged top and side handles on this cooler, but was surprised that is was so small. Also wish it had a built-in drain.
