The diameter of the flask opening is about 1.5 inches, so standard sized ice cubes won't fit. However, the smaller opening allows me to drink from the flask without spilling water down my shirt, a problem I have with the Nalgene widemouth bottles. The aluminum flask is lightweight, and the water tastes great, no plastic taste or smell.
I'd like to see Brunton come out with an insulating, condensation absorbing sleeve for the flask.

I like this product. I do wish the cap was attached to the bottle (I am use to the Nalgene caps attached to the bottle). Oh well, I am still pleased with my purchase. Love the color too!
