Great for the range, but PERFECT for sporting clay!Mar 28, 2011

The main compartment is open, holding 4 25rd boxes of 12 gauge ammunition perfectly. throw a few extra shells in one of the side pouches and you're good for a whole 18 stations of sporting clay. Each of the two, equally-sized zippered side pockets run the length of the bag and are easily large enough for a few handfuls of shells *each*, or other accessories/chokes/tools as needed. The shorter two sides are simply reinforced with corrugated plastic to help the carrier keep its shape.
The whole thing is simple and high-speed (unlike its big brother: Browning Cimarron Shooting Bag). There's no shoulder strap left to catch on things and there's no lid to keep zipping and unzipping or leave flapping around - instead, strips of nylon attached to the handles angle inward while you carry it, preventing items from tipping out. Simple. Pick up and go. I admire this simplicity over clutter and complication any day.
My only gripe is the coarse webbing used for the handles. When the bag is fully loaded with lead it's a little uncomfortable in your hand. It's no big deal, really... I just wonder why Browning didn't choose tubular webbing for this.
