"Just 8 hours to assemble" Try 8 months.Feb 28, 2008

This is a great project for people who like to do very, very, very tedious repetitive, tasks. The quality is good and it can be sewed to a set of BDU's to make a REAL Ghillie suit. It just takes much longer than the single page instruction sheet estimates.
Sew the netting to clothes to make an authentic ghillie suitDec 10, 2010
By Dakota Kid So far this product is living up to my expectations! The colors I received are 2 lbs of tan, 2 lbs of light olive, 1 lb each of brown, dark green, and gray. They are woodland colors but look almost grassland. I'm not complaining as I can use it in a ton of different environments because of the suit's versatility.
The netting I received is more than enough to get the job done. It's made out of thick nylon netting and the jute has true color save for bled colors in the gray and light olive. (There is trace amounts of tan in the gray and gray in the light olive) The bleeding isn't excessive and unnoticeable when assembled. One note, however, I did find a pea sized red blotch in the light olive. Other than that everything else is of good quality.
The directions that come with the material do a good job of explaining how to make the suit and gives you two variations you can make. I decided to make the 'Stalker' poncho where the front has been cut off. Since I'm left with so much netting going down this route, I'm using it to make a wrap for my rifle and sew the rest to some BDUs.
Overall I'm very satisfied with the 'do it yourself' project. It is taking longer than the 8 hours the description says it takes but I believe a professional sewer or crochet master would have no problem finishing it in that time. ;) I, on the other hand took a week to complete it.
