5Great - But SmallOct 23, 2009
By James Cooper "Conspicuous Consumer"
If you know this brand you know these are exceptionally well made, SHARP knives. The only thing to be aware of with this one is its size. It is quite small, but not lightweight. If you need a good sharp blade to carry around with you and don't need a toothpick or tweezers, this is an impressive item.

I am pleased with this purchase.

4Good Knife! Incorrect List Price!!Dec 03, 2010
By William Baldwin "William Baldwin"
I own this knife and I have sold this knife; being a vendor at Gun & Knife Shows for several years. It is a very good knife! It is sturdy, in lock up and construction. Well made overall. AUS6A blade steel is very servicable steel, depending on who makes it and how it is tempered. In this case, and with most Kershaw knives, they do an excellent job. The Zinc Alloy body will resist rust and tarnish much better than brass, which is used on so many knives of this style. The cross grooved ABS inserts on the handle provide adequate grip of the knife. (This is the only reason I took a star away, these handle scales may wear out or damage easier than say, G10 material) It my mind, it is a good choice as a pocket knife that you might carry everyday for light to moderate usage and the less than 2" blade makes it carryable in most places, other than the airport obviously.

I have sharpened this knife (sharpening knives is a service I provide) and it sharpens easily and maintains the edge for a decent amount of time, dependent on the usage of this knife. It is a small knife and I use it mainly to open carboard boxes (100's of them), cut different types of tape, cut string, cord, small diameter rope of different materials, plastic strapping and open envelopes; this knife holds up very well. I have rarely had to use a course belt (80 to 120 grit) to reshape the bevel when sharpening and instead, I use a grit of 400 to 600 that will bring the burr up nicely after 2-3 passes, then I polish off the burr with felt and it's ready for work again. Now I can't attest to it's durability or cutting prowess for more heavier duty activities but I don't think the size of this knife would include those type of activities overall.

Here's a word of caution for this knife and many others here on Amazon. The 'List Price' posted above is wrong. 'List Price' set by the manufacturer is $24.95 (Kai USA, parent company for Kershaw). I've reported this to Customer Service but have no idea if they will correct it. I'll refain from my personal feeling on why it has been posted wrong but whenever buying a knife or any other merchandise here on Amazon or anywhere else, try to verify the list price so you will know for sure if the price you're paying is half-way decent. Don't get me wrong, the current price is fine but the percentage off list is not what's shown and for me, that is important.

5Another winner for KershawMar 06, 2012

A welcome addition to both of my knife collections. These are functional collections, not collectible ones, that I have in both of my seasonal residences. Due to airline restrictions, need duplicates.

4great knifeJan 23, 2012
By Mike
Purchased this knife to replace a Puma lock back pocket knife. After 2 Puma failures of their lock back mechanism I decided to try out this knife. The Kershaw Grant county was almost identical but it appears as though the lock back mechanism is built much better than the Pumas. Very happy with this purchase.

4Great little knife.Jan 01, 2012

Bought one several years ago. I use it almost daily. It is light weight and easy to maintain. One side panel did come off but I fixed it and haven't had a problem since. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great pocket knife.
