I purchased an XL for my 10 year old son who is average and it was a snug fit. This suit is very light weight and very difficult to put over clothing. I suggest purchasing an adult small if your child is at least 80 lbs and over.

I ordered these for my two sons and both of them LOVED them. They blended in very well with the surroundings. I would recommend these to others.
