I ordered the rubber Hogue grips for my .40 sig p229. I've heard some people complain about the size of the grips, but I think because they are slightly bigger, you get a much better mesh between your hand and gun. It is form fitting to your hand and allows you to squeeze the handle less than with the factory grips, which gives you a much smoother trigger pull (exactly what every shooter wants!!!) I would definitely recommend these grips if you are looking for a better feel.

I bought these to replace the stock "tactical" wrap-around grips on my Sig .40. They look really good, but be forewarned that they are a bit slippery. I plan on using these on the range, for target practice - and then putting the old grip back on for home-defense purposes.
These grips fit the sig P229 like a glove, and don't sand-paper your hand when your putting a lot of rounds down range, but if you've got sweaty palms - I wouldn't trust these in a life-or-death situation.
I thought I'd also point out... if you don't have screws for these (which I didn't), be prepared to spend another $15-$20 on grip screws.

These grips are slightly narrower than the wooden grips offered by Sig. They offer a surer grip than grips of other materials and fit perfectly.
Many don't realize that Hogue makes all of the grips that Sig uses. That, in itself is a fine recommendation.

The grip came on time and was a perfect fit for my duty weapon. I replaced my slip on grip from Hogue with this one.

As great as my Sig P229 is the plastic grips were not so great and they really got on my nerves at the range. I had held a Sig at a local gunshow with these grips and when I realized just how economical they were I snatched up a pair ASAP!
It's like a whole new pistol! You can shoot forever with no hand fatigue, the grips have just a small amount of give in them that enables you to get a great grip on your pistol every time. They are not slippery from sweat, oil, etc. it's really the best money you'll ever spend to upgrade your Sig.
My only complaint is why don't the folks at Sig go ahead and make these grips standard issue on their handguns. For a cool 1000.00 it only seems fair!
