5Good to have!May 15, 2007

We brought this with us to Scotland and the temperature gauge came in very handy -- converting Fahrenheit to Celsius. It's a well-made and handy thing to have while on vacation and at home!

4Thermometer is off. So make declination strategyMar 14, 2012
By S. Nay
Compass is excellent and always works very accurate however has no liquid inside and thus tilts its needle. If not horzontally flat enough so you adjust til lays flat and needle is evenly horizontal. Thermometer is off in high temps but DOES lower according to
Lower temps. The key chain hole is away from tip abit farther which means Its difficult to add a keyring. So follow this adjust strategy:

Mine is actually 10-15 degrees higher than actual local temp. Just like
Casio digital thermometer is usually 10-18 degrees off actual temp.
So 85 degrees (my thermomter) minus the declination
(minus 10) = 65 degree (actual reading)

5Love the CompassApr 21, 2012

Love the fact that the compass has no liquid, makes it faster and really accurate. Don't know about the thermometer though

3Way more useful than expectedNov 24, 2009
By Parth Vasa
Temperature is great to adjust heaters, compass saves gas around town. Keyring a major plus. My lifetime partner.

Update- its a divorce as the thermometerstopped working. For the price its ok. Maybe there is a fix as the mercury kind of split in 2 additional parts and are stuck at the higher temperatures. Mercury is very cohesive so maybe it just needs to touch the rest.???.
