I have used this sharpener for two years. It gives a great edge, consistently, and reliable. Tuck the sticks away and it easily fits in the knife drawer. Easier than the 4-stick model-just move the two sticks over for the finish angle.

However, for some reason that is unexplained, it's more expensive, and you can apparently get the four stick version (two fine and two medium) for less!

I have had a Crock Stick set for more than 35 years. It still works great! I still have all its pieces: wood block, sticks, instruction sheet, eraser, and plastic container. It is easy to put a a good cutting edge on any knife (though since I don't use them I haven't tried serrated knives). I also use them for scissors with similar results. The best I can say about them is that sharpening a knife is easy; this is the only method for sharpening I have ever found that is both easy and quick.
This is one of the best purchases I have ever made. What's really amazing is that the price is about the same as it was 35+ years ago; there aren't many products one can say that about.

I received a different set of sharpeners than what was photoed. Not what I wanted. It was the grey sticks that are not the same as what is photoed. I was trying to replace a set that is shown.

We bought this to keep in the RV to sharpen our knives. It is more compact than our larger one at home that we've had for decades. The crock sticks are smooth and do a good job in sharpening. I prefer the longer crock sticks of the one at home but the compact size works well for the camper. Well worth the price. Amazon of course as always shipped quickly and packaged well.
